Enhancing Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop may alert you if your connection appears to have high 'latency' (delay) that could affect performance.
If that happens, please follow the steps below to help improve your connection.

Steps to take
- If you can, connect via Ethernet; if relying on Wi-Fi, run a speed test ahead of time—for example, using speedtest.net—to check your speed.
- Try to stay close to the wireless access point whenever possible. Prefer 5 GHz Wi-Fi over 2.4 GHz, since 2.4 GHz often gives slower speeds and is more prone to interference.
- Turn off or disable any VPNs or proxies before the course starts.
- If you can, temporarily disable security software that might interfere with the network, as they can sometimes increase latency.
-
If your network uses content or security filtering, consider reaching out to your company's IT support for help. Whitelisting these domains may resolve issues:
1. https://\*.npg.io (eg any host at .npg.io)
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Hold off on large downloads or uploads during the session—suspend Windows, Mac, or Linux updates until afterwards if you can.
-
Your internet connection should be faster than 10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload.
